Searching the image collection in ASC:
- On the top toolbar, click More. From the resulting drop-down menu, select Images. The Image Collections Search Screen appears.
- Enter your search terms for the image you want in the Find field
- Click Search. A Result List consisting of thumbnail images with brief descriptions appears.
- VC/UHV Library Online Catalog
- Use to search for books and other materials in the VC/UHV Library. The library has many books and videos on Art History. Do a search on this subject term Art-History to see what's available in the library. No login is required unless you are accessing an electronic book.

- Metropolitan Museum of Art
- The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world's largest and finest art museums. Its collections include more than two million works of art spanning 5,000 years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe. The online site contains images and descriptions of many works in their collection.
- Mother of All Art and Art History Links
- Extremely useful as a gateway to more than 400 sites: academic, museum, commercial, and studio. Affiliated with the University of Michigan, the site is kept fairly current.
- National Gallery of Art
- Website of the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. Contains thousands of images of the collection with a searchable index.
- Smithsonian Archives of American Art
- Repository of primary materials. Has some 16 million documents--letters, photographs, diaries, sketches, scrapbooks, business records, and other documentation--along with catalogues, papers of artists, dealers, critics, art historians, curators, administrators, museums and related organizations.
- Vatican Museums
- Contain masterpieces of painting, sculpture and other works of art collected by the popes through the centuries. The Museums include several monumental works of art, such as the Sistine Chapel, the Chapel of Beato Angelico, the Raphael Rooms and Loggia and the Borgia Apartment.
- Web Gallery of Art
- The Web Gallery of Art is a virtual museum and searchable database of European painting and sculpture from 12th to mid-19th centuries. It was started in 1996 as a topical site of the Renaissance art, originated in the Italian city-states of the 14th century and spread to other countries in the 15th and 16th centuries.
